Privacy Policy

We, STUDYU INTERNATIONAL Eğitim Hizmetleri ve Danışmanlık Ticaret Limited Şirketi (hereinafter “StudyU”), undertake to protect your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, process and share your information in accordance with Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

1. Data collection

We request only the data needed to qualify the request and provide the agreed services. Depending on the stage of work, this may include:

Full name
Date of birth
Citizenship
Passport or ID details
Education (transcripts, diplomas)
Contact information (email, phone number, address)
English-language certificates, motivation letters and other documents for university admission

2. Purposes of data processing

We use your data to:

Providing educational consulting services
Supporting the university admission process
Informing you about your application status
Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
Improving the quality of our services and personalizing the user experience

3. Legal grounds

Data is processed on the following grounds:

Your consent
Performance of the consulting-services contract
StudyU's legal obligations

4. Data sharing

Your data may be shared with:

Partner universities in Turkey and abroad
Government authorities and legal bodies (when necessary)
Authorized personnel and third-party services (cloud storage, CRM, translators, etc.)
Web-form data is transmitted to Formspree as the technical form-processing provider and delivered to StudyU's working email.
Messages sent directly through Telegram and WhatsApp are processed under those providers' terms.

5. Retention period

Lead data is retained for 36 months. Working case documents are retained for 12 months after the work ends. Contracts and accounting documents are retained for 10 years. Longer retention applies only when required by law.

6. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

Access your data and obtain a copy
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to or restrict the processing
Withdraw your consent at any time

You may withdraw consent, but withdrawal does not invalidate lawful processing carried out before it. A deletion request sent to info@studyu.org is reviewed within no more than 6 months unless the law requires continued retention.

7. Cookies and web analytics

The site uses two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working and store your consent choice (the su_consent file, kept for 180 days); they are always set. Analytics cookies - Google Analytics 4 and Yandex Metrica - activate only after your explicit consent in the cookie banner. Until consent is given, analytics services stay off (Google runs in Consent Mode v2 with a "denied" status).

You can change your cookie settings or withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. Processing of requests through Formspree and messages through Telegram or WhatsApp is described in section 4.

8. Policy changes

We may update this policy; the current version is always published on this page with the date of the latest revision.
