About the university
ŠKODA AUTO University (ŠKODA AUTO Vysoká škola) is a private university founded by the ŠKODA automaker in 2000 in Mladá Boleslav. It's unique for its close industry ties: programs in management, logistics and industrial economics are built around real challenges in the auto industry.

How to apply
For foreign qualifications, ŠAU offers an admission-specific education assessment after a complete application and a separate request; if documents are not accepted, it may request general recognition. Language and entrance requirements depend on the chosen program (official guidance).
Admission to ŠKODA AUTO University (ŠAVŠ) takes six months or more; here are the key stages:
- Choose a program (9–12 months ahead). Decide on the field — management, logistics and industry — and the level: bachelor’s or master’s. Programs differ in requirements, deadlines and fees.
- Language certificate. For free programs, yes. Many students first take a year-long Czech course. English-taught programs require IELTS/TOEFL.
- Application. Applications are submitted online; once reviewed, the university sends an offer — with it you can plan finances and housing.
- Student visa and relocation. After the offer, StudyU helps prepare visa or residence-permit documents for the Czech Republic; the consular or migration authority makes the decision. Czech MFA visa rules.

Tuition and living costs
For winter 2026/27 entrants, ŠAVŠ lists Czech-taught bachelor’s tuition at $1,600 (CZK 34,500) per semester and English-taught bachelor’s at $2,670 (€2,350) per semester. Follow-on master’s tuition is $1,740 (CZK 37,500) (Czech) or $2,900 (€2,550) (English) per semester. These are university fees, not living costs. Official ŠAVŠ fee table.
A selective ŠAVŠ scholarship can cover tuition for eligible new full-time Czech-language students; it is not automatic. Check the university’s criteria and the fee for your exact course.

Career after graduation

ŠAU can assess foreign secondary education for admission after a complete application and a separate assessment request; if the documents are not accepted, it may request general Czech recognition. Check the required verified certificate, proof of eligibility for bachelor's study in the country of issue and the chosen program's language rules. ŠAU charges tuition for Czech-taught study. Under current Czech government restrictions, Czech missions generally do not accept ordinary study-visa or study-residence applications from Russian citizens; the restriction also covers dual nationals, with limited exceptions. Applicants should check the rules for their citizenship and residence with the responsible Czech mission before planning this route.
