Sunway University

Sunway University is one of Malaysia's best-known private universities, located in Petaling Jaya near Kuala Lumpur, at the center of the modern Sunway City education district. Founded in 1987, it has around 9,000 students today.

Admission is based on your diploma and an IELTS/TOEFL certificate. Programs with international degrees from partner universities are available.

Admission to Sunway University takes six months or more; here are the key stages:

1. Choose a program (9–12 months ahead). Decide on the field — media, finance and medicine — and the level: bachelor’s or master’s. Programs differ in requirements, deadlines and fees.
2. Language certificate. Entirely in English - the standard for Malaysia's international programs.
3. Application. Applications are submitted online; once reviewed, the university sends an offer — with it you can plan finances and housing.
4. Student visa and relocation. After the offer, StudyU helps prepare visa or residence-permit documents for Malaysia; the consular or migration authority makes the decision.

After 11 years of school. Most often via a university Foundation year (about one year), after which you enter the bachelor's program without a second admission round. Some private programs accept the school certificate directly.
