Tuition and fees

University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) - Pyla
University of Central Lancashire Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus) - Pyla

The budget depends on the programme and payment period. UCLan Cyprus lists a base undergraduate fee of about $11,500 per year for 2026/27; its standard 90-ECTS master’s base fee is about $12,100 for the whole programme. Check placement, MBA and distance-learning exceptions separately. These are not national averages or EUC tariffs.

For a clinical comparison, University of Nicosia DVM base tuition is about $24,200 annually; its lower Nicosia living guide is $13,800 for 12 months. The subtotal from $38,000 excludes additional course fees and compulsory insurance, visa charges and moving costs. Do not transfer the Nicosia guide directly to Pyla or another residence.

UCLan publishes its own bursary and scholarship conditions. The base table does not subtract them: confirm applicability, exceptions and renewal in the offer. Request EUC’s current programme-specific quote; old general figures cannot substitute for an invoice.

With a tighter budget, compare a non-clinical programme, shared housing and English preparation before moving. Calculate the whole duration: an extra language semester adds both tuition and living costs. Before a deposit, confirm refunds, whether it credits tuition and the payment schedule.

How admission works

Admission is based on your diploma and an IELTS/TOEFL certificate. The admission process is clear for international students.

StudyU helps compare universities, check scholarship requirements, and prepare application and visa documents; the university and consular authority make the decisions.

Step by step:

  1. Pick a university. Private English-taught universities in Nicosia and Limassol are the main international track.
  2. Apply. Document competition: certificate plus English (IELTS or the university's test); autumn and spring intakes.
  3. Visa. After admission, check the visa and residence route for your nationality, status and programme duration. Confirm documents, funding, insurance, timing and charges with the competent authority and institution. An offer does not guarantee permission or an issue date.
  4. Housing. University residences or rentals; the island is compact.

Admission with an 11-year school certificate

The institution assesses your exact school qualification, subjects, grades and language. For an 11-year certificate, confirm equivalence and programme eligibility before paying. Exams or preparation may be required; a language course alone does not establish academic eligibility or admission. More: study-abroad guide.

Master's degrees in Cyprus

Master’s admission assesses the previous degree, relevant subjects, grades and language; programme-specific conditions may apply. Compare the whole duration, annual versus full-course fees and recognition for the intended further study or profession. Participation in the European higher-education system does not establish recognition for every purpose. The receiving university assesses further study and credit transfer; a competent body decides access to a regulated profession. Check the programme and destination country.

When Cyprus becomes a strong choice

Cyprus is strongest for students who want an English-speaking Mediterranean route without the pressure of a very large city. Families usually compare it with Greece, Malta and Turkey: Cyprus often wins when the student wants a smaller environment, a practical campus rhythm and a smoother first year abroad.

Before applying, StudyU checks whether the selected university gives the right balance of tuition, recognition, housing and daily transport. This is especially important for business, hospitality, psychology and health-related tracks, where the country can be attractive but the exact programme still decides the outcome.
