Higher education in the UAE at a glance

The UAE has quickly become one of the region's education hubs: Dubai and Abu Dhabi host branch campuses of well-known global universities, instruction is in English, and the student body is truly international.

For CIS students, the UAE appeals with a mix of Western education standards, safety, convenient logistics and a dynamic job market in business, IT and finance.

Cost & accommodation

These 2026 examples concern specific campuses: UE Dubai’s published standard undergraduate tariff is about $16,600 annually; UOWD’s Bachelor of Business Administration is about $17,300 annually including 5% VAT. UOWD notes that the amount varies with subjects taken. Neither is a price for all UAE universities or master’s programmes.

UOWD’s accommodation list contains shared-housing examples. If the monthly rates are confirmed, 12 payments would be about $7,200–$12,300. The university explicitly asks students to confirm billing periods with providers: some listings charge by trimester. Check availability, the full stay, utilities, transport and the deposit.

UOWD BBA plus that housing gives a partial subtotal of $24,500–$29,600. It is not a complete annual budget: food, connectivity, insurance, visas, flights and other missing categories are separate. Housing is paid to the provider, not the university; do not add visa-funds evidence again to the costs it covers.

To reduce costs, compare shared rooms, journey time and cost, study load and total programme duration. Foundation and master’s study need separate quotes. Compare other locations or countries if the figures exceed your budget while retaining accreditation and language requirements. Work income or an unconfirmed scholarship cannot replace secured funding.

The way in

International students are admitted on the basis of their diploma and an English certificate (IELTS/TOEFL). Some programs offer a Foundation year.

How admission works:

1. Pick a campus. Check the awarding institution and exact campus/programme accreditation. Do not assume that every branch award or professional outcome is identical to the home-campus route.
2. Requirements. The programme sets school-qualification, subject and language requirements. Check accepted tests, minimum results and any interview or examination.
3. Intakes. Check the exact programme calendar and the time needed for admission, residence and housing before choosing an intake.
4. Student visa. A university or eligible resident parent may sponsor student residence. Check the applicable route, required documents, medical checks, Emirates ID, full charges and renewal conditions; there is no universal campus visa price.
5. Part-time work. Student work requires the applicable permit and conditions. Confirm eligibility and employer procedures before starting; residence for study is not unrestricted employment permission.
6. Housing. Campus residences or rentals; housing is the main budget line in Dubai.

Admission with an 11-year school certificate

The institution assesses your exact school qualification, subjects, grades and language. For an 11-year certificate, confirm equivalence and programme eligibility before paying. Exams or preparation may be required; a language course alone does not establish academic eligibility or admission. More: guide.

Master's degrees in the UAE

Master’s admission assesses the previous degree, relevant subjects, grades and language; programme-specific conditions may apply. Compare the whole duration, annual versus full-course fees and recognition for the intended further study or profession. The awarding institution, campus accreditation and professional recognition need separate confirmation; nearby employers do not guarantee a placement or job.

Compare the programme, awarding body, accreditation and full cost with alternatives. Admission, residence and work permission remain separate decisions; a campus location does not guarantee a career outcome.
