Işık University

Işık University is a private foundation university in Istanbul, established in 1996 by an education foundation with a much longer school tradition. Its most coherent academic cluster combines engineering, architecture and design with business, economics and social sciences.

Clubs, project teams, competitions and exchange programs can strengthen a student's experience, but employability still requires individual work. Engineering students should seek lab and team projects early; design students need a portfolio from the first year; business students benefit from case competitions, data work and professional English. The university environment creates opportunities, not an automatic internship or job.

A degree from a recognised Turkish university does not automatically grant a professional licence in another country. Engineering, architecture, psychology and other regulated fields may require credential evaluation, specified modules, supervised practice, language evidence or a licensing examination.
