Halic University

Established in 1998 by the Foundation for Children with Leukemia, Haliç University is among Turkey's pioneering foundation universities. Undergraduate applicants normally submit a passport, diploma or expected-graduation letter, school transcript and photograph. Documents outside Turkish or English must be translated for registration. Art, design and architecture programs can request a portfolio.

English-medium students demonstrate proficiency through an accepted certificate or university examination. Turkish-medium programs use a Turkish requirement. Even in English Medicine or health sciences, Turkish is practically important for patient contact.

Current full bachelor's fees vary by program. Many degrees cost $4,700 per year, while selected programs are $2,700. Medicine costs $21,400 in Turkish and $24,000 in English. Associate programs start at $1,500 per year.

Start with the profession

Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Computer Engineering, Architecture, Gastronomy and Conservatory programs have different standards, timelines and career restrictions. Decide the profession and intended country of work before comparing language and price.

Medicine and health sciences

Ask when clinical training begins, where placements take place and what language is used with patients. Nursing, Nutrition, Physiotherapy, Midwifery and Speech Therapy also differ in practical hours and licensing. Recognition must be researched in the jurisdiction where the graduate intends to practise.

Engineering and technology

Compare mathematics, laboratories, programming, capstone work and internships across Computer, Software, Electrical and Electronics, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering. Review real student projects and access to equipment, not only the module list.

Architecture, art and performance

Studio contact, critique, workshops, production and graduate portfolios are central. Add models, printing, software, instruments or performance expenses to tuition. Conservatory applicants should consider the audition and fit with the specialist instructor.

Associate, bachelor, master and PhD entries lead to different qualifications. Filter by degree first and language second. For graduate study, check thesis status, duration and whether tuition is annual or charged for the full program.

Campus and placement routes

The main campus is in 5. Levent, but clinical or practical work can happen elsewhere. Compare housing against both the campus and placement location. In Istanbul, an extra transfer can add substantially to a demanding week.
