Monash considers direct entry from an Australian Year 12 qualification or an accepted equivalent, subject to the chosen course's academic, subject and English requirements. Foundation Year or Diploma may be relevant if direct entry is not available. Check official entry routes.

Admission to Monash University takes six months or more; here are the key stages:

1. Choose a program (9–12 months ahead). Decide on the field — business, design, architecture and pharmacy — and the level: bachelor’s or master’s. Programs differ in requirements, deadlines and fees.
2. English evidence. Monash accepts eligible English-medium prior study and several approved tests, including IELTS, TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic. Check the chosen course's standard. Check accepted English evidence.
3. Application. Applications are submitted online; once reviewed, the university sends an offer — with it you can plan finances and housing.
4. Student visa. If you need a visa, check the Australian Department of Home Affairs requirements after receiving an offer; the department decides the application.

After school. Check whether Monash accepts your qualification for direct entry. For related degrees, completing Monash College Diploma Part 2 with the required score and prerequisites can lead to second-year entry; this is not available for every course or automatically faster or cheaper.
