Bahçeşehir describes its programme as a synthesis of acting and musical theatre with dance-movement training, camera acting, creative drama in education and digital art. That breadth suits versatile performers; applicants set on classical stage acting may prefer a dedicated theatre department.
What you study
Mornings are typically physical: movement, dance and voice. Afternoons move to scene work, singing and ensemble rehearsals, with theory courses on theatre history and performance analysis. Audition and entry requirements
Juries look for range and potential. Read the university’s audition announcement for the exact tasks in your intake year.
- Acting. One or two short monologues, preferably contrasting, with at least one in Turkish.
- Singing. A short song to show pitch and musicality; musical-theatre repertoire is appropriate.
- Movement. A group class or short choreography to assess coordination and physical freedom.
- Documents. Passport, school certificate and transcript with translations; the Ministry of National Education issues the equivalence certificate (denklik) after admission.
- Turkish. Plan a preparatory year if you are not yet fluent; stage diction courses assume a strong base.
The audition jury and the university decide admission; the Presidency of Migration Management decides the student residence permit.

Graduates perform in theatre, musicals, television and film, entertainment venues and festivals, work as dancers or movement performers, lead creative-drama workshops in schools and youth centres, and move into choreography, directing assistance or arts management. Versatility is an advantage because most performers combine several kinds of project work.
Casting depends on auditions and showreels rather than the diploma, and paid work in Turkey requires a work permit for foreign nationals.
